It is an employer’s duty to protect the health, safety and welfare of their employees and other people who might be affected by their business. This includes providing sufficient information, instruction and training to employees to allow them to work in a way that does not put themselves or others at risk.

This half day course will provide delegates with the basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety to allow them to fulfill their legal duties.

This course can be offered for any workplace or made specific to the following sectors: catering ,manufacturing, care or retail.

Attendees will be able to:

Define common health and safety terms
Understand health and safety law
Perform a risk assessment
Identify controls
Outline the law and controls relating to slips, trips and falls, electricity, noise, PPE, equipment, hazardous substances, etc.
