Men in Fostering
This three hour workshop is aimed at male foster carers whether they are single carers, primary or secondary carer or a same sex partnership. Men can often be an undervalued resource in the Foster Care environment and a possibly neglected group that don’t always get a chance to air their issues and be heard.
In an all-male setting we explore the feelings, anxieties and difficulties related to being a male carer. The workshop gives the men time that is solely aimed at them, where they can speak openly and confidentially about their experiences with a group that probably have or will go through similar challenges at some point.
The men in fostering course is proving a very popular session and the carers who have attended have said it was a great experience.
” Spot on! Nice relaxed course that gave us an opportunity to open up”
