Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Successfully completing a 1 day (6 hour) Emergency First Aid at Work course will enable the delegate to act as a first-aider within their workplace. Continuous assessment of participants' practical skills takes place throughout the course. On completion of the course participants will be awarded a certificate valid for 3 years although the HSE do recommend an annual refresher (See First aid awareness/refresher)
Course Aims
To instruct and demonstrate all the essential first aid skills required by law for Emergency First Aiders. Candidates will be able to deal with threatening emergencies in the workplace by the end of the course.

- Specific needs of the workplace can usually be included into the course content if required. This includes areas like anaphylaxis, diabetes and epilepsy etc.
