Each workshop starts with a quick recap on the aims of first aid and the basic principles of casualty management
We then run scenarios around one or more of the following areas:
- Bleeding, burns and shock
- Breaks, strains and sprains
- Hypoxia (Airway/Breathing difficulties)
- Common medical conditions (Asthma, epilepsy, diabetes etc)
These scenarios are assessed and then as a group we look at how the scenarios were handled how they could be improved and then update the information and training accordingly.
This takes first aid training to the next level as well as offering a great alternative to the normal class room structure.
