This half day course aims to raise awareness of Equality & Diversity in the workplace and encourage candidates to reflect on their values, attitudes and opinions and explores how prejudices develop. Candidates will gain awareness of discriminatory practice under the new equality act and gain knowledge on how to promote equal opportunities for all and recognise the value of diversity.
Attendees will be ABLE to:
- Know what is meant by the terms 'Equality' and 'Diversity'
- Outline the elements of the Equality Act 2010
- Understand how prejudices form
- Recognise the different forms of discrimination
- Value individuals and avoid being judgemental
- Promote Equality & Diversity within their workplace
