This March sees the return of the Dementia, Care and Nursing Home Expo, being held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. Showcasing annually, the Expo is renowned as the UK’s most dynamic social care event, with a huge focus on inspiring positive business growth and sustainable practices within the health, welfare and care sector.
It’s a fact: We are living longer than ever before. Developments in healthcare and technology mean life expectancy for the average person living in the developed world is higher now than it’s ever been. And while such advances are certainly a good thing, the cost of a longer lifespan can often be high. The number of people living beyond the age of 85 is expected to double within the next 30 years. The demands placed on care providers is likely to grow exponentially alongside an ageing population. Sustainability of the social care sector is incredibly important, and it is imperative that carers can embrace and adapt to the new demands and challenges facing them, while remaining compliant and able to deliver on the highest levels of care possible.

With over 12 years of experience and his significant background in social care and psychology, Andy’s speech is sure to be an enlightening one, and certainly a talk that won’t want to be missed.
