Able Training Stand Up For Cancer 2018 Glee

Supporting Cancer Research UK

Director & Head Trainer of ABLE Training, Andy Baker is currently undergoing training of his own. Despite training others in a variety of different subjects from First Aid to Physical Intervention, Andy is stepping out of his comfort zone and into the spotlight as a stand-up comedian for one night only.

In support of Cancer Research UK, Andy will be taking to the stage at Nottingham’s Glee Club on Sunday 2nd December and debuting his stand-up routine. Always one to challenge himself, Andy signed up to the Ultra Comedy project to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

“Although I am used to standing up in front of people, they never have the expectation that I am going to make them laugh, it is just sometimes a pleasant by-product. This is a challenge and I’m terrified but excited too. Cancer Research UK is a great cause and I want to do my best to support it. I have lost people I care about to cancer as I’m sure everyone has at some point so I want to do my best to raise plenty for the cause. Any support you can offer would be amazing”

The rest of the ABLE Training team will be in the audience heckling supporting him throughout the evening and it would be great to see some of our customers enjoying a night of laughs too.
