What do you do at Able Training?
As Customer Relations Officer my main role involves contacting and liaising with existing and potential clients regarding their training needs and course requirements. I also manage and schedule course bookings and assign trainers to our courses, as well as perform general admin duties to help everything run as smoothly as possible! I have recently qualified as a Level 3 trainer and assessor to allow me to teach and deliver our First Aid courses. I am hoping to build on this and gain more experience in this role in the future.
What are your past experiences that help you in your current role?
I have an extensive background in customer service, having spent many years in the public service industry working in hospitality and catering. I also worked for five years in the aviation industry as onboard cabin crew, so I am used to interacting with a wide range of people from many different cultures and backgrounds. My work in aviation also made me aware of the importance of effective staff training, and how beneficial it can be for an organisation.
What do you like about working at Able?
We are a small but dedicated team, and we all support each other and look out for each other like a family. The work we do always feels valued, and it’s good to feel part of a successful and growing company. It’s also great to know that through our services and training courses we are helping people and spreading awareness and knowledge.
What are the values that drive you?
Love, compassion, empathy, learning, and a desire to constantly improve and experience new things.
“There is nothing impossible to him who will try.” – Alexander the Great.
Top 3 Favourite Podcasts/Books/Films:
I’ll go for films I think: Goodfellas, Fight Club and the guilty pleasure that is Bad Boys 2.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I like to keep fit and enjoy bodyweight, parkour and gymnastics training. I also really enjoy creative pursuits such as writing, and I am currently trying to write a novel in my spare time. I am known for my large beard (currently about 13 inches in length!) and I attend and compete in Beard related events and competitions throughout the year.
