Course Description

The role of the Designated Safeguarding Person was specified in the Children Act 2004 and the Care act 2014 ensured the every organisation had a “named person” for safeguarding children, young people or Adults. The Designated Safeguarding Person has a responsibility at both a strategic level within the organisation and on a day to day basis. This is an advanced course designed for those who have some previous safeguarding training.  It is particularly useful if learners can bring their organisation’s safeguarding policy with them.
