Health & Safety for Foster Carers
Foster carers are required to be trained in health and safety issues and have guidelines on their health and safety responsibilities, under Fostering Services National Minimum Standards (England) 2011.
They should also ensure Avoidable hazards are removed as is consistent with a family home. This three hour course helps carers to understand and meet these standards and provides the knowledge and skills to recognise and reduce common household risks.
