Lone Worker Training
Lone worker training is needed where members of your workforce might be particularly vulnerable. The law states that appropriate risk assessments must be in place to protect them while they are completing their job. This course helps lone workers develop vital skills to be safer in their job.
Lone workers include those who:
- Work in the community.
- Work unsociable hours.
- Work in isolation on site or may have times when they are left on their own on a premises.
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 states that an employer has to protect the safety of employees, temporary and agency staff and applies even when an employee is working off-site.
The course includes enabling delegates to:
- Develop their dynamic risk assessment skills as well as strong conflict management skills.
- Maintain a safe travel checklist.
- Assess risk
- Be a “hard target”.
- Understand the law as it refers to reasonable force.
This course can be combined with Breakaway techniques for a full days training ideal for lone working staff.
