About Able Target System® Train the Trainer September 2026.
What is the Able Target System®? What are its core principles? How does it link to positive behaviour support and de-escalation? How do we ensure training aligns with national guidance, the RRN (Restraint Reduction Network), and sector expectations including Ofsted and the NHS? How do we adapt physical intervention training for different environments while ensuring safe, defensible practice? What are the expectations for trainers delivering behaviour support and restrictive practice reduction programmes?
Our Able Target System® Train the Trainer public course answers all of these questions and more.
On completion of the course, participants will be awarded an in-house certification. If you have any queries regarding the session or group bookings, please contact us on 01476 979183 or [email protected].
Through our Able Target System® Train the Trainer course, you will gain an understanding of how to correctly teach a group effective behaviour support skills, physical intervention principles, disengagement and breakaway techniques, and positive, therapeutic approaches. You will explore the underpinning theory of the Able Target System®, the relevant legislation and guidance, methods of preventing escalation, and approaches for supporting individuals safely and respectfully.
