About Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 November 2026.

What is the role of a first aider? How do you minimise infection in the workplace? What should and shouldn’t be in a first aid kit? How does CPR differ for children, infants, and adults? How do you manage unconsciousness, bleeding, minor injuries, fractures, and seizures? How is the recovery position performed safely? How do you complete an accident book?

Our Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 course answers all these questions and more.

Upon completion, participants will receive a QA-accredited certificate valid for three years. The course includes an exam to complete the Ofqual-approved Level 3 qualification. For any concerns regarding the session or exam, our team is available to assist.

Through this course, you will gain a thorough understanding of the chain of survival and first aid acronyms such as DRABC, AED, FISH, SHAPED, AVPU, SCALD, and BE FAST. You will learn how to support individuals safely during resuscitation, including managing vomiting, and understand the do’s and don’ts when aiding someone who is unconscious.

Who is Emergency First Aid at Work Level 3 November 2026 for?

This QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is designed for individuals who wish to act as emergency first aiders in their workplace. Successful participants will have the essential skills to provide prompt, safe, and effective first aid during emergency situations.

What are the learning outcomes?

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Understand the respiratory, skeletal, and cardiovascular systems and the conditions that can affect them
• Correctly use a tourniquet and other first aid equipment
• Recognise and respond to a variety of first aid conditions
• Determine when to contact emergency services (999 or 111)
• Develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act as a qualified first aider in the workplace
