ADHD is the most common behavioural disorder in the UK. Estimates suggest if affects around 2-5% of school-aged children and young people. Most cases are diagnosed in children between the ages of 6 and 12.
During our ADHD in Children course, you will gain an understanding of what ADHD is, including how common it is and the different types, including ADHD, Not Otherwise Specified (NOS). You will learn how to correctly communicate with a child who has ADHD as well as learning strategies for supporting them. You will learn how to correctly establish routines. You will learn some examples of co-morbid conditions. You will also learn what ODD is and what symptoms may arise from this. You will learn about different types of medication, treatment, and other therapies that are available.
