This 6 hour training course provides an in-depth look at safeguarding and child protection, and those attending should have some basic understanding of safeguarding before attendance. The course includes many practical exercises designed to enable managers to support all areas of safeguarding through reflection – based on serious case reviews and learning from these. These will include dynamic case studies which change as the scenarios unfold, highlighting the need to be aware of what information you have at different stages of the decision making process.

The course aims to provide attending delegates with in-depth knowledge and skills to compliment and improve upon any prior safeguarding experience they may have. Delegates attending this course can expect to improve their understanding of supervision, and will recognise the importance of up-to-date safeguarding policies and practice. They will be able to recognise the potential barriers in safeguarding, and learn how to overcome them effectively.
