Effective Communication Skills Overview:
Many people can assume communication is easy and natural to do as we use the skills so often in our day to day lives. However, there are many areas where errors can occur, mistakes are made and the idea you or the person you are talking with, encodes and transmits is then misinterpreted or misunderstood. This can impact on many areas of the business setting. This course can be run as a full day or half day workshop and explores the pitfalls of communication and teaches key skills to improve abilities.

What is covered:
Communication is a key part of human interaction and because we use communication all the time it is easy to assume that the practice is simple. However Communication is complex and mistakes can create confrontation, mistakes and misunderstandings. This course explores the intricacies of communication by exploring the different components of communication including body language, tone and language. We will look at barriers to communication and how we may overcome them. It also looks at various methods of communication including person to person, telephone and written communication
Who is the course for?
This course can be adapted to any setting with the aim of improving communication across different routes. Management too staff and visa versa, staff too staff and staff to customer/service user (this can be made specific to the setting needs). This course can be run as either a half or full-day course and can be used as an excellent team-building opportunity as well as an informative course.
