About this course

Most businesses and places of work will carry some risk of harm. Risk is defined as the likelihood of a hazardous event occurring and the consequence of the event should it occur. A risk assessment is a careful examination of anything in your workplace that could cause people to suffer an injury or ill health while at work. Assessing risk is one part of the overall process used to control risks in the workplace.

What does Risk Assessment Training cover?

This course explores the steps and processes involved in effective risk assessment, and helps learners recognise and understand the risks involved in their place of work, setting, and environment and how they can manage that risk. Delegates will learn how to identify the hazards present in their workplace and surroundings which could lead to injury or illness, decide how likely it is that someone could be harmed and how seriously, take action to eliminate the hazard, or if that isn’t possible, control the risk.
